For everyone who says "They know they aren't perfect" and the like you have to realize this.. most of the people in the Bible were bigger screw-ups than we are, it wasn't their acts that got them into the Bible, it was their devotion to .

He knows we aren't perfect and He knows we are gonna mess things up, He just wants us to try, like when your kid plays sports, you know they aren't going to win the world series, you just want them to go out there and have fun and learn something about working together.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

This is a very touchy thread. It seem like every post could offend someone, so I'll end with listen to your heart and count your blessings cause thats two things that everybody here's got.

yes, i guess that's the basic purpose...ensure survival of your genes. it's kind of strange how we have that burned into us, that desire.

In a trench there is no such thing as an athiest....the argument is not for or against atheism itself..the actual argument goes to the trech itself and its profound effects on the human mind...

All of these questions and arguments are old as life itself, it makes people uncomfortable and triggers defensive reactions and profesions of faith rom everyone. "There is no ". " i dont beleive in ." " We are just biological entities" or " I DO beleive in " " I Use to go to church- i should go more often" We all have a choice in the matter and we all live by that choice and all of us on this post are right!! Aint that funny, we are all right-we we wake up tomorrow and keep on living(I hope). MotoHouston is a motorcycle community and a brotherhood/sisterhood and whethor you are a believer or not we all can come together and get along..and ride!!!
Just to add .02 cents

I was at one point in my life a non-believer until something terrible happened in my life. I had lost everything and everyone I cared about. The only possessions I had left were my guns and my Bible that I had as a child. With a gun loaded and a hope to end all things, I angrily threw my Bible against the wall. Where did it land? On the first page of Job. If you read Job, then you will know how I felt and how I started to know .

I make mistakes and try to live by His word, but I fall short of His Glory daily. Belief is a choice and for you, my friend, maybe you choose not to. Just remember, living for is not hard. You don't have to give up anything. You want to give up bad habits. I don't know your life, but perhaps the time is not right for you yet.

I am not comdemning you. It's your choice, just as it is my choice.
I just felt I had to post this, if not for you, for _____________________.
amen to that man i may not be a very big church person but i do believe in and all of the things that are morally right.

We all need to put first in our lives. Times are crucial now a days. Jesus is on His way back. I ask my self when I think of sinning willfully. What in do I want? Is fornication, cussing ( without a conscious ), , lying, adultry, not treating our parnets ( obeying them ) with the up most respect, etc, etc, etc, worth going to for? The answer for me is no. With prayer, reading my word, singing praises to the Lord ( Psalms 150 ), being with other Christ like individuals, were the keys for me to get on the right track. Staying on the right track is a daily challenge. For example I use to ride my bike to bars, clubs, booty functions, etc - places I know I have no business going because of other sins that will start to take place. I recently refused to go to bars, this is one of my idiosequences that I had to stop. Any where the presence of is not, I'm not there ither. We just have to continuously incourage one another, and not judge one another ( Luke 6:39-42 ). bless everyone on our final destination.....................Heaven.
