about...

$135-$175 for the track day
$50 to rent gear
$50 for misc bike things and prep if you dont already have them
+ tires, trailer, gas, food, etc.

about $400(+/-) for the first time give or take if you dont buy gear and new tires.

What I'm gonna do is get me another streetbike and keep the freak for track only. funny, today after I wreacked I didn't think about my bike because there's nothing to mess on it, I was thinking mainly about myself getting hurt. I guess my priorities have changed for the better.

and he's the link for the short vid. at the begining there's ArturoC (swell fella) he pushed my bike (left the key on and drained the batt).

yeah man, when u fell while u were learning to walk, u got up and tried again, not stopped walkin! i know it s a cliche, but ... so true.

and personal risk wise, umm... "ships r safest in the harbor, but thats not where they r supposed to be" plus track s pretty safe a place. broken ribs, collar bones, legs r not that tough to mend:icon_bigg j/k!

anyway, m glad u r ok!

it performance level is higher then your riding ability.

as for $400. kinda steep, IMO, i think you can do it for less then $250

then there's cornerworking, where you cornerwork for 1/2 the day, and get free 1/2 day tracktime. or work a whole day, and get credit for the next trackday.

leathers $50-60
uhaul rental $15/day

if you bike is truly street legal, then all you need to do is tape up the lights...$10 for painters tape.

most importantly ride within your limits, cuz it sucks to crack up your street bike.

and most crashed are rider error or over their head vs tires/mechanical probs.

Don't forget the video sessions too. The best learning tool to show how far you are off the bike etc. You are NEVER as far off as you think.

From personal experience... take the classes and start at the beginning. This will save you alot of wasted effort, time and money.
