Unhappy Something Burning?

I have a 2006 Gsxr 750. I was sitting at a stop light and there was a puff of white smoke that shot up from the front of my bike directly in my face and it smelled like burnt rubber. That was the only time it shot out smoke, but I noticed the bike still smells like burnt rubber when I'm stationary. The burnt rubber smell seems to be coming from the engine.

Any thoughts?

Am I in for a huge repair bill?

If you continue to smell the burnt rubber smell, I would say that you have something that has contacted the header (and probably still there). Look in the fairing area on the header and see what may be contacting the exhaust.

It is better to find the wire, rubber, or whatever is contacting the header now before it causes additional damage.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm going to take a look and see if anything looks out of place. I stay in League City by 518 & Bay Area Blvd.

Dude, that 750 is fried. Get rid of it and get a Yammi. I'll give you $ 100.00 for it.
