? explain universal.

On the relay schematic if your 84/85a and 30/87/87a are correct you can use any relay, or swap the terminals in the relay connector basket as needed.

I just put an electronic one on my kz1000. It works with leds or filament bulbs.

i tried one that came with my LED brake lights..... it didn't work out so well. It might have been a fluke though

The connector basket will be pins 1-9, all labeled.

The command circuit may be labeled 84-86; 30 is always the supply load power supply and 87's are the output to your devices.

Observe the side of the relay as the bible for that relay, then reference the underside of the relay for the individual pins. Relay colors do not mean they are always the same. Always verify the pins are in the same location.

If you have turn signals that are LEDs on the front and back, they likely wont blink at all even though they are wired into the stock wiring.

LEDs dont pull enough amperages to heat up the wire inthe relay to fire off.

This is where the resister packs come in.
