I know someone who has one on their 600... My stock 600 stops at 178... Thats where is all EhEhEhEh On the rev limiter in 6th gear... I've had his upwards of 180... And it didn't show any signs of not accelerating any further... But also you gotta remember... This applies in 1st gear too... So theoretically you can get a little more out of each gear I would think...

Also... His catches and accelerates faster than mine... Same bike, same year, same everything... Except for that part. It gets up and goes alot sooner than mine.

...they're talking about top speed limiters, not rev limiter.

my guess is not a chance, unless u have a speedo healer. prob more realistically around 170, stock speedos are very "hopeful" on most of the bikes.

Well, since the limiter kicks in at an "indicated" 186mph, you'd have to factor in approximate 6-7% error on the speedometer and you are actually going about 175 mph. So if you were using a GPS or a radar gun to measure it that is about what you would see.

So have said that, with a stock HP 1K with a TRE installed I'd say you might be able get pretty close to an actual 186 mph, maybe a couple mph less.

oh and if you're really into testing top speeds get gps

You can make your own TRE for a few bucks, or I can make one for you.
Also a Speedohealer will allow you to "fool" the top speed limiter.
I keep them in stock.

How does a speed-o-healer work, does it just reduce the number by X% or is there some other kind of calculation involved?

My speedo said 178 when it hit the limiter.

The bike I wrode with the little aftermarket piece broke that. Same bike, same year. Everything the same but that.

i dunno if anyone answered ur question i was to lazy to read.. but suzuki puts a differnt timing map for each gear... they make 1-4th retarded... and 5th and 6th hit it good.. u notice when ur in 1st and going slow.. and barley nudge on the throttle it doesnt go then jumps? thats what this fixes.. so when u hit the throttle it jumps on it.. it helps u in lower RPMs and helps the bike work smoother in 1st... it doesnt make u go faster.. maybe .2 - .3 seconds faster on the track.. i read all about this on gixxer.com look up TRE on there.. o and on GIXXER.com.. they sell them for 14 bux .. u can even wire one ur self.. its only a little 6.8k ohm
