I just got off my bike after a couple miles of lanesplitting down BW8 east because of a brush fire on the side of the road... So yea. I do lane split through all of the horns... Curse words and one finger waves. If You think thats bad... You should have seen how all of the cages were reacting to me.

But usually if it's way too hot, and I get caught in a traffic jam, then I'll very systematically do so, cage by cage, to the next exit. Gotta watch out for the cagers eye-ing you, though.

I wont lane split in traffic, but there are times that I will move to the front of a redlight if a car hasn't pulled all the way up to the while line...

it's funny how people in Houston (or Texas) for that matter freak out... but if you go to Cali where it is legal, it is just second nature to see a bike coming between the lanes (and no one makes guestures or obscenities to the bike rider)

LOL So that was you?! I was on my M50 and you passed me on a lane split...and that was what sparked my questions. I see it often in Texas and I knew it was legal in CA, so I didn't know if somehow the law changed out here.

Lane splitting makes me nervous - I have seen a guy throw an arm out once on a lane splitting biker - and that was out in Cali.

There are very few things I liked about Cali.....lane splitting was one of them. 20 minutes to get to work on the bike, 90 minutes to get there in my car.
