I rode a DRZ at TWS (Texas World Speedway) and I saw 95 on the front straight. Not very fast, but great fun.

The question you should really ask is what laptimes. It doesn't matter about top speed. Look at MotoGp and most of the time the bikes w/ the top speed don't win.

What ever you are riding in motard trim should top out on both of the back straights. Unless you are WAAAAAYYYYYYY out on gearing. But R & T types the truth. ^^^^

Just trying to figure out if I should regear for next trip out to MSRH given that I was on rev limiter pretty early on through front and back straights.

Let me re-phrase my original question,

Should I re-gear for MSRH, or simply buy a new tard cause the DRZ is really not suited for a track like MSRH?

We never seem to be able to show up at the track on the same days lately. What's that all about? But if we do, we can work on getting you there.

Time wasn't really my issue. My biggest concern is pushing the DRZ to much and having an "experience" (read that as engine blowing dumping oil all over the place) that puts myself and other riders at increased risk. I think I'm going to drop a few teeth in the rear and see what happens next time out. 1:50 must be hauling the mail on a tard.

You don't need to get rid of the DRZ. Just get a bigger front and smaller rear sprocket.

What do you know Tim, the turtles have a faster top speed than you. I think they crossed the whole track in the time it too you to complete a lap.

WUT WO. Tim whatya gonna do now?? Jason im chiming in here now. Thought i would see everyones opinion. I recomend a 15 or 14 front and a 40 rear. That should get you in the area you need. The next step is a 440 big bore kit. Cams, porting. Pipe and a super moto swing arm and a few other gooidies. I got em all dude.... 281-370-4400 Wes
