Unhappy I'm sad now

my old buddy called me to let me know he is dying and he is ok with it.scares the out of me, he is being taken to the hospital, but he is giving up.
hes my old partner that we do a lot of machining together, and we used to offorad together.
He is not in good health and its time for him to go. He basically called to say goodbye
Im like WTF, just get your to the hospital and call me.
He said he wont cause he doesnt want to worry me, he said its ok, it happens to all of us.
I think he misses his wife who passed 10 years ago and he is ready.
I did find out the hospital though after much badgering.

Kevin, I'm talking about Doug so, start letting our 4x4 community friends know he needs uplifting and support. his son is hauling him in right now.

please pray for him, I need him, he's good people

I feel good for him, that hes going to be in a better place and that his suffering will be over soon. I feel bad for you for losing a good friend. Ive yet to lose a good friend, only family members......and sometimes I think losing friends must be worse.

he has a machine shop, a couple of bridgeport knee mils with dro, a cnc mil, a huge lathe, etc etc etc
hes just a good dude and I go over there and help him make things. he has jobs to get out and I run some of the stuff for him when I can. I will probably be over there and catch up on his unfinished stuff if I can.
I dont care about his shop. Hes got others that would do better with that stuff.
I have my own

the flu has been killing him literally, I knew he has been sick, but the other day he said he was up and making parts again, he sounded great. today he says he hasnt moved in a few days and he is about to die and he wasnt kidding. He wasnt going to call anybody, just lay there and die. His son found him and hauled him in. I called him right before he left and he sounded bad and seriously thinking it was time to go. he was telling me he is making arrangements to give his stuff away and I will be notified soon. I told him to stop the bs and get his to the hospital and made sure he had my number in his pocket, I scolded him and he said he couldnt call me bacuse he couldnt get to the phone that had my number. I think he is at the med center, now I gotta hunt his old down tomorrow and see how he feels after an evening with the doctors. he sounded horible and said he was ready and it was ok and for me not to worry, its ok and it happens to all of us. He misses his wife he said.
