actually we had about 2 or 3 wet sessions before it was time to pick up the pace.....we were just round robin'ing in the wet....kinda made the playing field somewhat fair for us

and as for sportbike track time.....the only thing that they did that me off was sent me back 3 times during tech inspection. i think it's a stupid rule to require safety wire on the oil drain bolt and fill cap to run in the advanced group. they wouldn't let me ride without drilling the bolt and fill cap, or puttin nasty silicone all over it. i mean come on, it's not a race weekend.....it's only a trackday. needless to say, i spent an extra 30 min of my time to get it to their rule guidelines. pretty much if you wanna run in the advanced group, you gotta have it "race prepped"....safety wire and no coolant (luckily i already drained it and put water wetter when i bought the bike).

i just don't see the point in that, because the 30-40 riders in advanced group need to do all that....but the other 60-80 novice/intermediate groups didn't.....it's a rule to me.

maybe they're just mad because me, derek, and jason were running faster than half of their instructors and we never been to that track before (besides derek, he's been there once)

Alright, so I'm down for next year. Feel free to let me know when the next trip is or I'll post up when I start making plans if not. I intend to meet a friend there from Chicago to ride and do Barber and Road Atlanta or something over the course of a week if possible.

Cool sounds like you had fun. I knew you would. We will be going in early October. Can't wait. Did you buy the track pics from the track photographer?

there wasn't one single statement about bikes needing to be fully race prep'd and safety wired in order to participate in the advanced group on their website...

Yea, that would have me off too. That should have been disclosed on the site.

The bummer part about NESBA is the no passing the control riders unless waved on. Might as well know the negatives on that. That was in the intermediate group but you can't registered in the Advanced they move you up.

You forgot about my short cut through the fast shicain (sp) after the roller coaster( museum turn) cuz I was looking at the two guys laying on the ground making sure it wasn't any of us. It was a bit scary cuz I didn't know how smooth it was and I saw all kinds of water on the blades of grass.

2 weeks? Wow. Another plus for the nesba photographer you got a disc at the end of the weekend plus you could review the pics after every session on one of 8 screens.
