RIP Mike. You will be missed. He had just traded his GSXR 1000 for that R6 that Tiatool posted. He said his 1000 was to heavy and that since he communted he wanted a lighter bike. We rode Sunday. Very capable rider. I think he traded that R6 this week for a GSXR 600. Must have been the bike he was on.

Heart like gold this fella had. Funny as . Had a great knack for graphics. Some of his funny moments raggin on us!

Guys please ride safe out there.

I work at a school in that area. One of the other teachers was right behind the accident and saw it all. Please ride safe. That's all that needs to be said but lots of accidents can be avoided.

Thoughts and prayers to his family.

Only factor that might have changed the outcome was following distance. I don't know how many times I've dodged stuff flung up by a car in front of me, or had to make a quick evasive move because I couldn't see something until the car in front ran over it.

But in rush hour traffic, if you try to leave enough room in front of you, some numb nut will cut in and fill the void.

Dangerous world we live in, you have to be super alert all the time on a bike.

.....I saw the chunk of tire on the shoulder and when I saw it I thought...."I wonder if he ran over that tire tread and the front end tucked or something...???" I also saw some fat out there cackling on the phone standing by a little black car, looked like she was crying.....maybe she was the one that hit him.... This whole situation sucks......

The bike was definetly not that yellow R6 posted above....It was a blue/white gixxer 600 or full faired GS500, one of the two.

Prayers and thoughts for his family...
