That's the same thing I worry about. All those Constables posted up like mail boxes. However, the alternative isn't much better.Fumbling around trying to get the change out of my pocket with gloves on. The last time this happened I damm near dropped my bike on me.

I have a Kawasaki 636, I've wanted to put my license plate under the under tail for sometime now. Just didn't want to spend a whole lot of money on it. Any inexpensive ways around it ?

Hiding your plates will make you a target for more cops to harass you. Get the tag. If you used it or if they pictured you, then they would only charge whatever it is the amount on the toll. If they didn't get you, it is a public road, free of charge. Just be careful on exiting/entering the toll with the bar going up and down. I nearly broke my windshield on my car forgetting about the bar going down.

I have a tag for my bike but don't carry it with me. Im worried that one day a cop will see the little red light go off and pull me over. I wonder if there is a way to deactivate/break the tag so that I can carry it with me in case I get pulled over but I don't want it to register when I go throught the lanes. Maybe I'll try soaking it in water.......

No offense but it's a really a no brainer; get a tag and don't get hassled, ride the white line and possibly get hassled.

I carry my tag under my seat. Sometimes the monitor picks it up, sometimes it doesn't, and I don't try to avoid the scanner.

The point being, avoiding paying $.75 to a $1.00 by doing something illegal, and the possible consequences of a stiffer fine, being pulled over, etc. just isn't worth it to me.

As far as doing it to be a "rebel" or "cool", if that's your definition of being a rebel or cool, that's pretty weak.

My 2 cents. As usual, YMMV.

For Heaven's sake! get the tag!

I was at a shop one day, and as I looked at the guys license plate on his bike, I coudn't see his license plate, it was black. He said he forgot the turn the switch back off or on to allow the plate to be seen or not be seen. He said he uses it for the toll ways. I still thought it was a dumg idea for such a thing to violate the law. Is it the inconvienice? or just want to get away from paying the toll? What is your reason?

its really cheap and easy to get a tag. They charge your bank account or credit card $40 and deduct your tolls from that. when your account reads less than $10 they charge it again so that its back to $40.

the have new stickers for cars and now motorcycle EZ tags. the scanners pick up the moto tags diffrently from the car tags and you can place the new moto tag anywhere on the bike and be ok. once its removed, the sticker is deactivated so you dont have to worry about theft.
