iPod knock-offs

Anyone have one? I see them on the net all the time but I've never seen one up close. Reviews?

If you're referring to a non-apple mp3 player, I've got a Sansa 1gb mp3 player. It's no where near user friendly as an ipod, but it works just the same. I didn't really mean user friendly, I meant "idiot proof."

Ipods are cool though and I can see why they're so popular, but I can't justify spending hundreds of $$$ on one. I think for mine I paid like $50 or so, and that was over a year ago. I've had no problems w/ it and I can hear it just fine under the helmet.

MP3 players existed before the iPod. Apple just made 'em cool with the iPod. Yeah.. Not sure if you're talking about an actual knock-off/rip-off, or just another mp3 playre. THere are some decent no iPod players out there. Some are junk.

I've got an iRiver, and I love it. Easily worked with gloves on, has FM radio built in, and goes 40 hours (avg) on one AA battery. No need to recharge when I'm on the road and away from outlets.

By 'knock-off' I thought you meant players that could play .m4p files. Do these exist or does Apple own this?

Apple has nothing to do with them. I read somewhere that the "guts" are pretty much the same they just don't have Apple's software.

So I'm guesssing that they're just MP3 players. Cool deal.

Dayum.. that's asuper cheap knockoff.. It would be nice if you could see the interface. A bad UI could make it too frustrating to use.
