btw this tread might be deemed stupid and should be moved to off topic discussion who cares if it involves motorcycles or not.

I started out when i was 4 on go carts that my dad built, then when me & tim got together we have always had bikes so i guess you could say that after 40 years of being around bikes and atv's, go carts it is safe to say this is something i like.

+1

I didn't read the entire thread, but I'll throw in my 2 cents. It very easy to get tricked into thinking youre a pro at anything, especially when it comes to driving. It's so simple, most people just assume their lackadaisical skills will get them through every encounter they will have.

THis is not true. As a rider you need to constantly work on new skills and find things you can improve on. I'm not talking about getting your knee down in corners (though that is a rush), but things you learn in MSF like slow speed maneuvering and emergency stopping.

16, 21, 33... whatever your age is, riding is dangerous. Riding a 100+ hp bike at 16 is probably 100 times more dangerous than someone who is over 30. The responsibility from wisdom and experience is something that you can only gain from age and trials. When I was 16 I'll be the first one to admit I loved to hit the red line on my car, granted it was a fullsized luxury sedan. A bike is a lot different, and you probably know that.

Don't be cocky, aggressive, or stupid and you will live to see your 17th birthday. Be safe and ALWAYS wear your gear, man.
