helmet is pretty good. i like the inside visor going in but if you're gonna ride with the sun in your face, you're gonna need a darker visor. theres a bit of a whistling if you ride and tilt your head in a certain direction. i could hear it over the ear plugs. only thing i dont like about it is the fact that the notch between close and opening a bit is very wide. i havent gotten use to the little tab to open the visor a bit, mostly because my gloves are bulky. but overall for 100 bucks, its money well spent

So, either keep the sun visor down or close that damned vent when the sun visor is up. If you get caught in the rain, you're going to get water inside the helmet if the forehead vent is open. The lever to keep the visor cracked open is a nice feature.

It's a great deal for $99. If you have to pay full price, go with a 400.
Also, the medium shell for 1000 is larger than the medium shell on the 400 to allow extra space for the sun visor. For me, the 1000 sits lower on my forehead and obstructs the upper portion of my field of view when I'm leaned over and looking up through a turn.

Just got back from Cycle Gear. Payday and all. I ride with a Scorpion Exo 700. I love it. The skull graphics and the aeros are nice.

The blue one is the one for 99. The 45n store didn't have any my size. With the 700 I wear a LARGE. With the 1000, 2XL!! I went up 2 sizes!! With the internal shades, they had to bulk it up a bit to keep that nice DOT Snell Cert. I'm going to the 59s store to see if they have it in my size.

I agree with everyone on this deal, too good to pass up!

Post back from the dead.... 1.5+ years of solid wear, it is finaly getting "funky"... time for a fresh lid.

I'd say it has at least 20K miles on it, in all that wear nothing has broke, come loose or quit working. I have gone through 2 tinted and one clear outer visor and one inner visor. The neck roll is starting to crack and it is just getting old so to the top of the closet it goes as back up, the 700 in the closet goes in the trash and on the look for something new....
