Duc Sandwich

So I was out on Saturday on the Duc going north on Murphy Rd (1092) to 59. I was behind a Toyota pickup when it started to slow down allowing for the vehicle in front of it to turn into a parking lot. Consequently, I slow down and come to a stop behind the truck. A few seconds later, a F-150 comes barreling past me and slams into the Toyota missing me by inches. Needless to say, I took a moment to reflect on life. The driver of the F-150 was some punk kid and his girlfriend. If he had been paying attention rather than feeling his girl up, he could have avoided the incident. It took all my self-control for me to not beat the sh*t outta that motherf*cker. Anyway, note to all of you PLEASE BECAREFUL OUT THERE!

I'm glad you're ok bud!! And you are 100% correct, even if we are not moving we gotta pay attention to everything. I had a buddy that was at a red light on westheimer during the thanksgiving holiday, it was 10:30 at night with few cars on the road. From nowhere, a lady came barreling into him from behind at 50mph. He flew up in the air about 10ft, and landed on her windshield, good thing he had on his helmet. Naturally, he was knocked out and had a few broken bones.

I had a lady pass me on a one lane portion of Bissonet between Shepherd and Greenbriar. I pulled up next to her and banged on her window. People need to know that they are ****ing up. Next time, they might think twice about doing something stupid.

Glad you're alright.

I would just claim that I was travelling the speed limit (I was doing the exact limit) and the car was in a hurry, tailgating me, then went around me, nearly hitting me and running me off the road. I win.

I know I'm not the best, or most experienced, rider around, but I ALWAYS try to be as safe as possible. I usually leave at least 2 car lengths between my front tire and the car in front of me. People usually respect the fact that I've kept my distance and in turn they stay a good distance away from me when they pull up behind me.

close call bro... I got rear ended at a light a couple of years ago. fell asleep and I saw her coming and tried to go but I had hesitated too long and she got me. Wasn't too bad since I was already moving some but still totalled the bike.
