What's the point?

Yesterday I was traveling down Bissonett (toward 610) and I saw two motorcyclists. One guy on a silver Honda (don't know what size) wearing a jacket, gloves, helmet, shorts, and tennis shoes. What's the point of wearing gear that protects your upper body and leaving your lower body exposed? You, my friend, are an idiot....

The other douche, is on a red bike (did not make out the make and model) wearing all the gear minus the helmet. He did not even have the helmet strapped to the bike like some do as they would like to just cruise with no lid just to get some air in their hair.... why bother putting on all the gear if your not going to leave home with the most critical peice?? Whoever you are, you are also an idiot....

Is this anyone here?
Did anyone else see them??

you'd have to ask them for the point. if it makes any rider happy to ride without gear, it doesnt bother me. not my business, not my life.

I ride with jeans on all the time. I wear A* raceboots and kneepads, which is a lot better than nothing, but still not the best at all. I'm fine with that, and until you buy me some leather pants, I'll keep wearing it.

Both statements above are actually not all the way true... Jeans are better than shorts.... especially if you're wearing riding jeans, that's way better than shorts... I've talked with people that have wrecked wearing jeans, and seen the jeans with only a few minor holes in them, and it protected their legs from getting all tore up. I can't say that would have been the same case had they fallen only wearing shorts.

Now, if you're riding like an idiot, it doesn't really matter what you're wearing, helmet and leathers... you could still die.

Just my 2 cents...

i say to each his own.... stop worrying about what other people wear. these are grown people who can make their own decisions whether they are good ones or not.

some of ya'll act like anytime you ride you should be in full leathers and ready for the track. even if you're cruising around town. i wear all my gear 95% of the time and my helmet 100% of the time...and yes i wear jeans and not leather pants....cuz basically u look like a in leather pants once you're away from your motorcycle and in a store or restaurant or whatever.

I don't own/wear leather pants...I wear the Cortech demin riding pants w/knee protection and leather lined in the . I figure some protection to my lower body is better than none at all.
