I've had it....burn't out...

Just ranting venting...

8 years in this place, 13+ years in IT. Same shyte day in, day out...
running bare minimum frigging headcount needed to meet the needs
of the user base (1/2 of which appears to terminal cases of
cranial-rectal inversion).

i have only been at my job for a year and a hlf and the daily grind is wearing me away. i could only emagine 8 long years of it

...seen it several times. There's even a runnin joke up around here involving the stapler.


..I've been enable to reduce the number of folx that come up asking me for help, by adding a 5lb hammer, shovel % crow bar to the decorations of my 'cubicle' area.

Our company offered folks here to move down there to keep their job. Some would've done it until they found out that the salary would be adjusted to local conditions. :laughing6

p.s. The 'tools' I mentioned earlier have uses (and are labled)...

Hammer - Percussive Maintenance Tool
Shovel - Pc retirement system
Crowbar - Magic wand (for the people that think IT can rebuild a machine, from dust in 5 minutes)
