SO uh back to the original topic...

I say if you have no experience and want a sportbike then get a Ninja 250. Almost everyone here will tell you the same thing. Of course this is up to you and you make the ultimate decision.

I don't know then...new or used. That's a tough one. I like new things myself. So my vote is for the 09 SV650.
