Running late to work was at a red light in pearland on 518 & old manvel road, light turned green so I gunned it a lil bit. Front tire came up some...mmm maybe 8-10". Well, brazoria sheriff was watching me from some where :dontknow: and caught up. Proceeded to remind me that poppin whoolies is now a class b misdemeanor and I could be arrested on the spot . Didnt wanna argue with him about whether that would be considered a whoolie or not so I left it alone...He gave me a warning... and said..."Tell your buddies we are on the look out...slow down son". whewww!!

You can be arrested for just about anything. How you represent yourself in court will determine the outcome. Not how much you smart off to the cop on the side of the road about your knowledge or lack of.

More than likely depends on how they write it. Most of the times is a B.

I dont think you'll learn much about keeping the front wheel on the ground in MSF. that poor 125 eliminator's tire hadn't ever seen anything but pavement.

See I think that is bs. Wheely'ng is a skill like anything else. Once you learn them they are easily controllable. Just because you are on one wheel doesn't mean you are disregarding safety of others. I mean do cops give unicycles class b misdemeanors?

airplanes wheelie when they take off....why no ticket? :laughing6

i think they used to call it "failure to control vehicle", when ironically a wheelie is a demonstration of the utmost control.

if theyre gonna about wheelies being unsafe, then make cruise control illegal, remove cupholders from vehicles, GET RID OF THE MIRRORS IN THE SUNVISORS, and make talking on your phone while driving illicit.

only then we can play fair.

I've also heard they can charge you with Reckless Endangerment which is a felony.
It depends on what you are doing and how the cop wants to treat it. Maybe a little 8" is not so bad but a 100mph stand up on the freeway might ruffle a few feathers.

really? a woman in my class on the EL250 or whatever its called bounced it off the rev limiter and just off the clutch in 1st and it lurched forward 3 foot and stalled out.
she may have had her foot on the rear brake too though, she was pretty uncoordinated.

I know on my eliminator I was sitting on the rear of the seat trying to clutch it up in 1st when the instructor wasn't looking and it was no dice, just bogged down and made sad sounds.
