Ben V Colin

so during the BBC coverage of the MotoGP from Estoril, Suzi Perry (hawt ) gets over to colin edwards on the grid and says (in so many words),
"how do you feel about next years lineup??
CE- "what, team redneck??"
Suzi- "Yes" laughing
at this point Colin sorta looks lost for words,
no, yeah Ben's coming
and no, **** that I want to be top Texan.
Couldn't read him at all

so it got me thinking, who's got your vote in the 2010 Tech3 team?????

I don't like 1 more than the other, but it sure would be nice to see CE up on the top after all these years.

For the last race this season and Ben's wildcard ride, I think he'll be top ten but Colin will still be top 5... IMHO.

What I'd LOVE to see is Ben AND Colin top 5 and continue that trend for next season too! As long as Ben cleans up on King James (as he did last season in all his wildcard rides), it's all good for me. Not because I don't like Toseland, but because if he's going to replace him next year it would look really good to beat him out of the gate.

I'm sure Toseland will be gunning to at least beat Ben for the last race.

I don't think either of them have a shot at the top step untill they make the bikes bigger.

skill can only take you so far on bikes made for small people.

I sure hope both make it to the top step next year Edwards has sure shown he has the speed.

No doubt, Speez has exceeded everyone's expectations and it's awesome to see. If he maintains his focus/work ethic next year like he has this year, no doubt that Tech 3 Yamaha will have better results from Speez over Toseland... no doubt... but I'd bet that Speez will be dukin' it out with Edwards in relative short order.

Off season testing should be really interesting and a tell tale sign of where things are going. Speez himself said that the MotoGP bikes have so much grip and that he will have to adapt/change his riding style to a degree... so we'll just have to see.

If off-season testing goes well, I would think Speez would be running between the Top 6 to 8 places right out of the gate. You gotta figure the usual Top 4 are Rossi, Lorenzo, Stoner and Pedrosa. Those are the 'top tier' riders. Edwards has basically been the top guy of the 'tier two' riders. Sure DeAngelis and Elias have come into the fold lately, but that's only because they're about to lose their jobs. Finally, you're teammate is the first guy you want to beat!

If Simoncelli comes over and hits the ground running like he did on the one-off Aprilia ride in WSBK that will no doubt make things harder for Speez, but I think it's totally realistic to think that Speez will be fighting for 4th, 5th or 6th in short order... if testing goes well.

Now, the Texan in me is sayin' he'll be on the podium by Race 3, but ya know.
