im good @ doing my wheelies i have my balance point down but it seems that my bike wants to drift away mostly to the left i was wondering if its the wind or sould i shift my weight on the bike? i dont feel safe using the back footrest on my bike yet could that have somethin to do with how i wheelie sould i use them?

lol dont use them untill u can do standups.. otherwise ur bike might just come right out from under u...

its prolly the wind..

but check ur rear tire.. pressure and rim..

check your wheel alignment first. If that's fine then you just need to adjust your body position while in the wheelie, but in order to change the direction of the wheelie you must be at or past balance point.

I noticed when I first started doing wheelies that I never sat right in the middle of my bike... Which is wierd... But I'd bring'em up and go shooting off to the left.

But now I got better riding posture and stuff.

hey matt whats up...like bykeboy said...when i first did my wheelies i was powering them up like you do...and i would ALWAYS either go to the right or left...cause i would pull it up more with one or the other arm...if you are still pulling your wheelies up...start learning to clutch...cause thats the only way that I found how to stay straight..i clutch my stand ups and they're gettin smoother and smoother now

Naw kinfolk you know you all good with me. Small things are nothing to a Giant. That's the problem with some people they take things too seriously. We both are family men that just like to ride and talk noise, but that's alwayz as far as it's going to go with me. I was kind of sleepy. But now I got a little energy now. Thanx UMMMMMMM time to do some curls now.....:laughing6 :laughing6 :icon_sant

If you are pulling to the left then the easiest way to correct it is by putting a small amount more of pressure on your right footpeg before either clutching or bouncing (DONT WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE ALREADY UP ON ONE WHEEL TO LEAN YOUR WEIGHT). You will be able to go straight if you put the right amount of pressure before lifting the front, but only if your back tire is aligned correctly. Once you get better to where you might ride one 1/4 mile or so, then you should be able to switch lanes and make small corners by pressing down on your front half of your foot. (If you want to go right, then press the front half of your right foot down.) Try not to turn the steering wheel because if for some reason you were to redline then your front wheel can slam down not leaving you enough time to straighten it out, therefore giving you major headshake, or worse, a tankslap. It's a great idea to buy an adjustable steering dampner to prevent this. I suggest a GPR or Scott's, because in my opinion they are the easiest to adjust, plus the GPR come in different colors to match your bike.

seee i can clutch it up in 2 gear now man its much easer but sometimes it take the bike longer to get to the balance point but when it there i can ride it out 4ever after i get there

Engine modifications, ( make my engine faster ). Understand now? The bike is heavy at 572 LBS. A faster engine will make everything better for me.
