I wouldnt consider it cheaper than anything else. Here take a look, (remember that bulkwhey that you are showing is only one pound while this is three)

http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/store/en/browse/sku_detail.jsp?id=NP-1098

Good deal on isopure, which is going to be flavored and has less calories and sugar.

I would imagine it to taste like poo.

Whey, like metals and everything else, comes in grades. Thats why you dont buy protein from amazon...expired whey. This whey looks like its used for commercial fillers.

Do you like this stuff?

I just noticed it contains sand in the ingredient list:
Ion exchange whey protein isolate, vitamin/mineral/amino acid blend (taurine, potassium (as potassium chloride), chloride (as potassium and sodium chloride), calcium (as dicalcium phosphate dihydrate), phosphorus (as dicalcium phosphate dihydrate), L-Glutamine, magnesium (as magnesium oxide), vitamin E (as dl-alpha tocopheryl acetate), niacin, zinc (as zinc sulphate dihydrate), vitamin A (as palmitate), pantothenic acid (as d-calcium pantothenate), vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine), copper (as amino acid chelate), manganese (as manganese sulfate dihydrate), riboflavin, thiamin (as thiamin hydrochloride), folic acid, biotin, iodide (as potassium iodide), chromium (as amino acid chelate), molybdenum (as amino acid chelate), selenium (as amino acid chelate), vitamin B12), natural and artificial flavor, xanthan gum, sucralose, silicon dioxide.

But they use an artificial sweetner that I like and the cost is reasonable.

Eh its not terrible but I perfer my max protein. I have some peach mango that I have only had a few scoops of that I will let go for $20. Isopure is a little chalky. DO NOT try the already mixed clear drinks! They are terrible.
