I was lazy to keep shooting pics...
The hole got to the middle of the two dark circles...
Then I replaced the carved foam with memory foam from the pillow in the pictures...

I did it to lower the seat height but it didn't lower as much as I thought :eh:
But at least I have a much more comfortable seat :icon_thum

It's more confortable, like a gel seat.

i need to invest in a memory foam seat.. the r1 has a uncomfortable seat..

Yes Robert, I put memory foam instead the stock foam and the seat became softer and because memory foam compresses more it lowered the height.

The memory foam was supposed to be in the top not the bottom but if you see Pic # 4 there was no way I could replicate the shape ofthe original foam and I didn't want the seat to look crappy.

i just bought a seat off ebay for 15 bux :-D it should be at my house by the time i get there so i can do the mod.
how much is that memory foam?

Use a 80 or 36 grit air grinder to shape foam. You can use it on memory foam,but it gums up alot. Memory foam also takes it own basic shape. Very comfortable on a long ride though.
