Just curious of what some of you snack on that's good for you. I snack a lot at work, because I'm to busy to stop and eat a hood meal. Well I decided my weight has become a problem at 180 so today I got celery and yogurt and it was pretty good.

celery is great - a true negative calorie food (requires more energy to eat it that is has).
I also recommend bite sized shredded wheat. Personally I use frosted mini-wheat as it helps deal with the sugar craving at the same time. 12 biscuits with organic yogurt at 1030am. And 12 more biscuits as a mid afternoon snack.

Eat some puzzy Tony - it's the extra protein in the dick that has you puffin up there, fluffy
Put the weenie down and munch on some carpet.

Natural PBJ w/ whole wheat bread
Bananas
Yogurt
Kashi Crunch Cereal w/ Moootopia milk
Protein Cookies
Organic Granola Bars
None of these items are low in calories, but promote a steady stream of energy and provide metabolism continuity. I guess for a snack to be 'healthy', it depends what you are trying to do and how you do it. In my case, I want to keep this train (my metabolism) rolling and steaming! :thumb: Choochoo!!! lol

granola bars, fruit, mixed nuts and lots of water
I'm a snackaholic when I'm at work. I have to be constantly eating, but eating healthier snacks keeps the metabolism working. Also stay away from the big meals.

I'm trying to get in the habit of snacking healthy all day, sometimes I forget and then when I get home I eat a big meal to stop the hunger and promptly go to bed and I know that's really bad to do.

am snack of instant high fiber oatmeal with fresh blue berrie or sliced stawberries and my afternoon snack is typically a nature valley peanutbutter granola bar but I've found to really help me is to break up my breakfast into 2 meals and lunch into 2 to small meals so that I'm eating like every 2-3 hours. it helps keep my blood sugars level and keeps me from gorging when I get crazy cravings for sweets; I won't deprive myself from the sweets but since I'm not starving I am able to keep it to a snack size snickers bar per day or something like that. oh, and like everyone else has said - LOTS OF WATER ;)

there are high protien snacks and high fiber snacks, try to mix um up with granalo bars, fiber one bars taste like chewy bars, they dont even taste healthy lol, yogurt, if you dont like to scoop there are drinks, also protien shakes, for a quick yogurt smoothie try blending yogurt with frozen fruit, freezin the fruit makes it smooth and creamy try this banana protien shake one day as well YouTube - Beat the heat with healthy ice-cold shake btw this guys youtube channel is awesome

If you eat large meals, this will actually expand your stomach (organ)...which will mean it is capable of holding more larger meals. People that eat small snacks throughout the day benefit because there stomach (organ) actually shrinks in size, accomodating for the new diet. That's why when you eat a lot of small snacks, it's actually hard to eat a large meal. :thumb:
I also eat a lot of protein...a WHOLE lot of protein. I just got done buying 24 packs of 3-serving Albacore Tuna w/ Water. Tastes like shit but it's cheap, accessible protein that doesn't require preparation. After my workouts, I drink my post-workout shake (60g protein w/ dextrose/maltodextrin, imbedded BCAAs, etc) followed by 3 servings of tuna (45g protein) a few hours later. And then, I follow it all with a healthy, protein-rich meal (1-2 chicken breasts) and a light meal before I goto bed. This usually totals about 200g protein everyday.
It's not cheap or easy, but whoever said looking good was easy? lol haha. CHOOO CHOO!!!

well than, depending where he work rather he has a fridge there or not, stock up on some veggies platter thingys , like carrots , cauliflower , celery, etc, with some low fat ranch or any low fat dressing, crackers, pop corn is a great low fat snack , (not the extra butter kind) i used to live in a truck and traveling the country, gained 40lbs in like 5 months, all gone now lol, eating healthy aint easy but once you get a system goin it gets easier.

oh and as for the protien shakes , for me its a good mean replacement because i dont always get to eat when i need to because of work and school , put a scoop or two in bottle than when you get to work add water and shake.

instead of using pre-made dressings for my veggies I buy the light sourcream and mix in about 1/4 of a package of the dry dressing mixes....lot less calories this way and you can controll the amout of sodium you are ingesting too

Most importantly...find something healthy that you like. If it all tastes like crap you won't stick to it. Make changes to your diet and health routine that you can stick to and not cheat on.
