Well here are my best 3 laps :keke::keke: I am so slow it isn't even funny but I can see where I need to improve!

For those of you who commented on my riding position thread, as you can see my arse is too far off the seat, at least I think so.

I took the inside lines a couple of times around 1 and 5 / 6 to see how they felt but I didn't like the inside one around 5/6. I think you get on the gas a lot sooner if you line it up on the outside.

Critics welcome :D

I'm probably one of the slower guys to be giving advice, but from what I learned my last outing while spending the whole day learning a better line I can say two things.

1. At turn 4 APEX much sooner and come all the way in to the inside curbing. After turn 4 exit there is no need to come all the way back across the track, but 2/3's instead. Then setup to make turn 5 a stright line to the outside before turning into 6.

2. At turn 8a there is little to no need to swing out so wide before you start to enter the turn. You can stay towards the inside after exiting 7 and keep toward the inside/mid track as you turn into 8a.

Just my comments from what someone taught me recently. I am sure others will have their own approach, but find out what works best for you I guess.

Wish I could be riding more at the moment as it is...

I wish that was me doing that :keke:, I am the guy that flew by Andy. Andy basically put on his brakes to wait for me to pass him again. He showed me a different line onto the front straight. Just before then he passes me on the way to the chicane. I am the really slow guy on the orange and white bike being followed :D

2:09 is not bad at all that is considered expert you know. 2:20 that is still intermediate. You just need to make all your 2:09 or better. :thumb:

oh another question how many trackdays?

Nice video, I liked it. It's clear you can ride faster, as demonstrated after you were passed by the guy on the front straight. If you are comfortable and having fun, then it's all good!

hug the curb tighter on the apex's and basically...just go faster. It's like when I was following my dad this past weekend at TWS...his lines were good and he was smooth, he just needed to push a little harder (go faster).

Push yourself and try to be as smooth as possible...that's the best advice I can give.

I def. agree with what Andy said
+1 to hugging the curbs tighter too.
Stay smooth and consistent and you will gradually pick up the pace.
It will all start to flow a little better once you pick up the pace as well.

Tim, by no means am I an expert or anything but you should be able to pick up a thing or two from my recent vid. . .
FWIW, the corner workers voted me smoothest rider in Level 4 that day :thumb:

damn, it looks like you keep it in 3rd gear 90% of the lap. must be nice having all that HP!

 Yeaaaa, it's gonna be an interesting transistion from my ZX-10R to the 05 ZX-6R. My guess is I'll be even faster  :eekspin:

T1: stay on the banking longer, after you hit the transition wait for 2 or 3 seconds and then get 2 down shifts
T2: don't turn in so early, about when that yellow line ends that's when you turn in, come out of the turn in the middle of the track, and slowly make your way to the left side, and grab 1 more down shift
T3: don't turn in so early, late apex the turn, drift out to the left 3/4 of the track
T4: turn in later, and you can carry some more speed, come out of the turn in the middle of the track and stay there
T5: carry more speed than you think you can handle, after you apex the turn, drift out all the way to the right(don't hung the inside of the track between T5 & T6)
T6: just a normal turn
back straight: you should up shift 2 gears
T7: turn in much later, and a bit harder, then straighten it up and charge up the hill
T8: grab a quick down shift before turning in, hung the apex tight, and come out of the turn in the middle of the track
T8a: smooth on the gas, normal turn, exit the turn in the middle of the track or 3/4 to the left
T9: go into the turn from the middle of the track, as soon as you start turning in, throughout the entire turn slowly make your way closer to the inside curbing, so by the time you start making the switch for T10 that you're right next to the curbing
T10: nice easy turn, come out strong on the gas, but smoothly, once you're fully open, keep it open and grab 1 gear up shift
T11: stay on the gas until you think you're going to crash if you don't get off and then just back off about half throttle, nice easy, smooth turn, come out of the turn in the middle of the track, and stay on the gas
T12: just a down shift prior to turning in, and hug the apex tight, get it right, and the next 2 turns work out great, screw it up, and you screwed up your entire lap
T13: keep up on the gas as best as possible, come out in the middle or 3/4 to the left of the track
T14: hug the inside curbing until the middle of the turn, and then start drifting out and up towards the banking
Straight away: slowy work your way up high on the banking, like the top lane, and then start all over!

The camera guy is hitting them great

There a few things I'd do differently, but each to their own. The great thing about TWS is the width and this gives a rider so many different lines to choose from!
