alright guys just go back from a short ride. when i parked i noticed a pretty good size nail in my back tire:crying: ! I hate construction areas:BangHead: !!!!!!! So i ask the question what is a good brand and model tire to get? I currently have the stock Dunlops

kind of everything. i would like some good street tires with excellent grip I dont mind paying a little more for something real good

how important is longevity? how long did your last set of tires last?

my current tires are fine not much tred wear at all. I have had them for about 9 months

i got the pilot powers on mine and i love them. the only problem is they dont last that long

I'd agree with Ed on his recommendations.
Hhowever, if you are aggressive on the street then I'd recommend the BT014, M3. Powers or Qualifiers. Mainly not just from the better traction but because over time the other tires will "square off".
If your front Dunlop is still in good shape I wouldn't recommend mixing it with the Michelins.
If you're on a budget the M1's are an excellent tire with good grip and reasonable mileage, especially if you watch your tire pressures.

the front tire is good should i just get the same tire untill i replace both

Are you running the 218 Dunlops? If so I know of a deal on a set that are new. They where pulled off a stock 600RR. Less than a 100 miles on them. I think he is asking $200 for both but I can verify if you are interested. Otherwise, I would go with a set of Bridgestone or Michelins.

Maybe it was $150.. I do not remember what he wanted but, they are just sitting in his garage. So, I imagine a deal can be worked out. :icon_thum
