This thread is to remind all that TWS riding time DOES NOT START at 9AM!!!
We have heard several times recently that various people call out different times for start of riding at TWS. Here is the time breakdown:
6am - Gates Open - Those who did not camp overnight will start riding in.
6:00AM - 6:50AM -- CHECK IN - fill out forms, submit, check off your name, get stickers for tech
6:00AM - 6:50AM -- TECH INSPECTION
7:00AM - 7:20AM -- TRACK DRIVE - Highly recommended to those new to the track.
7:30AM - 7:50AM -- RIDERS' MEETING - MANDATORY TO ALL ATTENDEES, RIDING OR NOT!!!
8:00AM - 8:20AM -- LEVEL 4 & 3 OUT ON TRACK - LEVEL 2 IN CLASS, LEVEL 1 IN CLASS
8:25AM - 8:45AM -- LEVEL 2 OUT ON TRACK - LEVEL 4 REST, LEVEL 3 IN CLASS, LEVEL 1 IN CLASS
8:50AM - 9:10AM -- LEVEL 1 OUT ON TRACK - LEVEL 4 REST, LEVEL 3 IN CLASS/REST, LEVEL 2 IN CLASS
For the remainder of the day, rotation of level 4/3 - 2 - 1 continues in 20 minute intervals on the track.
Riding stops at or after 5pm (depending on various factors).
If you haven't been to a track before, we highly recommend you get there the night before. Rushing is a very bad thing at the track, and as a new to track riding person, you will be overloaded with things to do and prepare.
If you haven't fixed that bike yet, and have hoped to finish it the morning of - bad idea. All of your bike work should be completed 2 or 3 days before the track day. After that, you are asking for Mr. Murphy to lay down his laws on you.
Hope this helps. See you all there. Remember to start drinking tons of water starting Thu/Friday to prepare the body for the rigors of heat at the track. Weather is looking great.
