Okay so here's the deal. I want to install my garage door opener onto my bike. I don't want to rig the headlights or the horn. I just want a simple button, like this guy...

Anyone know where I can find more info? That shit would really help me out. I have having to dismount, unlock the door, go around to the garage, open garage, re-mount... bla bla bla.
THX!

that setup is easy to do, just modify the box that the original opener came in.. the chips are small they just make big boxy things so people don't lose them, take the chip out of the original plastic box and make your own.
It's not as bad as it sounds.

Hey if I could modify a stopwatch to do that, how much would you all pay for a device like that?

So Ramius, are you volunteering?

Sure man I love that shit, give me a call.
......or you can just run a wire from the button on the opener (lockated elsewhere on the bike), and just run some wiring to a push button sw on the bike.
Then chew a stick of gum for 20 seconds, mix it with a paper clip, put it on a door, and get the hell out of there cause that sucker is gonna blow!!!! Stay tuned next week for another exciting episode of MHGYVER

they have a write up on kawiforums.com for a garage door opener that is operated by the high beam switch.

why thank you!
A garage door opener just operated on a FM band. Anything that you can use to control it will work. Heck, they even make wristwatches that you can program to change channels on a TV, and they can't be that expensive b/c the guy I know that has one is a tightwad.

all you do is flip the high beam on then off. this way all you have to mount is the control remote board and not wire up some buttons. its the same thing as having a button, just without the extra button. you know what i mean?

yeah i get what you're saying, but I just rather have the button. i don't want to splice into any new wires. or anything like that. plus i'm getting the HD + angel eyes so i really dont want to do anything else.

I listened to Solracers post while reading this thread. I'm inspired now. I keep my garage remote in my tool bag. I was having to dismount, open the garage, then push my bike inside.
I'm too lazy for that. I'm going to rig something up this weekend. I'll report back when i'm done!
booo arturo gets the credit :crying: looks like i mod i have to do too. post up pictures if ya can, ill let yall be the guinee pigs. :icon_bigg

Hooked mine up to a turn signal, just flash the turn signal at the door and it opens.
