I have a different cardio routine than most people, its actually not cardio at all, but interval training.
When I first get to the gym, I run at 6.5mph 2.5% incline for half a mile.
I do my stretches, go back to the treadmill, running 7.5mph 2.5% incline for 1/4 mile.
I then do my normal workout with 1/4 mile intervals running at 9mph at 2.5%
Basically, I'll do 3 sets of 2 different excersizes, then hop back on the treadmill at 9mph.
Other than that, I take my dog to mem. park and interval run the three miles. (Run 4 lightpoles, walk 2 light poles, Jog 6 light poles, walk 4...then start over.) This pretty much keeps me at a 10 min./mile pace. for the three miles.

I was doing the pre-programmed routines. They are either 1.5 miles at 4.5-6MPH and varying inclines, or 2.5 miles at 3-4.5 MPH and still varying inclines. Those were the "hard" routines. They arent hard, but I get bored easily running at a constant speed.
I would then lift, and finally do 1/4 mile at 12 MPH (as fast as the treadmill would go).

I pretty much run 20-25 hills (45 to 50 degrees incline) for lunch, 3 three minute rounds of jump rope before I train, three to four hours worth of grappling, striking and wrestling all on Tuesday and Thursday. Monday's and Wednesday's are weight-training days. Friday rest. Saturday, light striking training. Sunday rest.

yep but it's fun and loads of cardio even better when it's cold cause of the extraburn from body trying to keep temp up.
