dude, i wouldnt spend the money.. if you're interested just hitch a ride for a few races to see if you like it first. then make your decision. but to answer your question, the NSR 50 is perfect.. More speed is not gonna benefit you anywhere, it's mostly skill.

Yeah, only reason I was interested in it was because it was 4 stroke and probably less maintanance, that and the size.

that 2 stroke motor will last a long time. prolly last you more than a year. and tires will last all season long

You are qualified.. just come out and look for a team. Or set up your own with a cheap motard. Andy or Patrick could point you in the right direction. They both had some fast bikes out there last year. :icon_thum

1. how do i look for a team? wat wld they expect from me. just being fast? or do i have to bring in some money too?something else?
2. and how much money does it approximately take to buy a bike and set up ur own team with a few friends.how many ppl can be on the team.
CMRA is still a few months away, i guess it would be fun doing this till then to ease the itch..
thanks for answering these, i tried opening the rulebook link on tmgp site, but its hanging up on me!

1. Ask around, each team is different.
2.Depends on what you want to spend.
There is alot of variables to it all is what I am trying to say. :hs:

Hey look...my first post.
If you bought the bike new, it probably needs to be wired. It entails drilling holes through axles and any fluid retaining bolts, calipers, exhaust hangers and secure them so they can not turn counterclockwise and back out during a race.
You will also need to replace the glycol in your cooling system with h2o or water-wetter before getting on the track.
I am going into my 3rd year with TMGP this year and I'm on the NW side of town. Let me know if I can be of any help

you can take it to Patrick at M-U or to Andy at Metric to have it safety wired.

WRW knows quit a bit about race prepping the NSR as well.

Thanks kalkat.
Hope you find a ride this season.
Moody is right. For NSRs if you want anything perfomance then Billy at WRW is the one to talk two.
Personally, I recomend race prepping your own bike. If you don't want to, then Patrick or Andy would be a great choice for sure.
