View Full Version : Removing bent frame slider? w/o hurting bike

Need to get this thing out, but it's too bent to rotate in the hole. Any clues on how I can get it out without egging out the hole?

Take a Sawzall and trim the slider to the top of the bolt head then try removing the bolt.

I bought the bike like that from Pete, who went down on the freeway at 70mph. He wanted to take a break from riding, soo I picked it up as a new track toy. Can't wait to get this thing back together.

i had the same problem but i straightened out the bolt/frame slider with it still on and then unscrewed it.
good luck.
Replace it with Woodcraft Sliders, with the poly caps...
