good amount of valve over lap there. good for making more power and some nice flames. :nod: (at least it's always added more power and helped shoot flames from the engines i've built.)

probaly running rich. the guys at chrysler use to tell me a rich man has a lot of money so he eats alot, so shits alot more. a poor guys doesnt eat alot so he is skinny and lean, and doesnt shit enough.

substitute "shit" with flames or backfires. im guessing its unburned air/fuel mixture in the pic. i backfire alot with my slip on when i down shift down from high RPM's:eek3:

I said valve overlap because that's time when the intake and exhaust valves are open at the same time. you make more power because you pass the mixture through the cylinder faster but you're also still burning as it's going through. and out the exhuast pipe.

they are running factory FI bikes right? that looks like its burning alot of un-burned mixture. the spark plugs must get fouled real quick but im sure they tear everything down.

most def. running rich. but i'm sure the cams are tuned for more v.o. it helps to also run a little rich cause that helps with cooling too.

my guess is the can is running super hot...... and when they down shift the throttle plates slam shut while still injecting fuel... over rich.. it come out the hot ass exhuast combusting when it comes in contact with that hot ass can then the oxygen just outside that hot ass can.... causing flames idk just a thought

lol...I can bring out the flames by myself, but it does look like mine
