Wrong, that only applies if you're chasing Suzuki, Kawi or other bike mfr. money.
You're still eligible for contingency from anyone who is paying that class / you have thier equipment on your bike. i.e.: EBC, VP, Bridgestone, Hotbodies, Vortex, etc.
It doesn't matter what year bike you're running. Check the CMRA website for details.
If you have more questions contact Bill Syfan with the CMRA.

I just didn't want anyone to misunderstand that they wouldn't be eligible for contingency unless they had a newer bike.

Thanks! I will have to consult with Patrick about that frame damage.

I spoke w/ the guy selling it and according to him, the bike was dropped and while sliding accross the pavement it his a real short metal post in the ground and basically punctured it. He said he had an aluminum welder look at it and he told him it could easily be repaired and in his opinion it was structurally (sp?) ok. But, for less that $900, it might be worth a look. Hell, you could probably part it out if it didn't work out and make some money on it...

i think that thing is junk, i bought my SV, basically track ready for $3100. incl. rearsets/exhaust/springs/ss lines. the cost to repair that would be higher then buying a decent "street" bike, you shoud be able to get an 99-01 SV for about ~$2500.

and i sure as hell wouldn't trust that frame.........but thats just me.

I don't like the looks of the frame either. I am going to try and deal with Patrick on getting my hands on a track bike but, I like to see what is on the market out there. :icon_thum
