third session of the day... out at oakhill (http://www.roadracinghelp.com/LessonBook/TrackMaps/Oak%20Hill/OakHIll.htm)... myself (on the sv) and another provnov on an r6 were fairly evenly paced and had been trading out leads pretty well... it was really working out well b/c on some parts of the track i was faster and other parts he was faster...

so we kept pushing each other pretty good and had picked up our pace to around 1:45's... when in turn six... sigh... i lowsided... :BangHead:

tried to save it... but couldn't... leathers and protective gear did it's job... props to patrick @ m-u (http://www.motorcycles-unlimited.com)... (if you ever need ANY kind of gear people don't fuck around - just go see him... believe me, it will save your ass one day...)

sliders did their job... shifter snapped off... cracked fairing... lots of dirt and debris... but the bike did not flip... in fact i was back on the track inside of forty five minutes... thanks to a fellow racer who had spares... :notworthy

they say you hurt like hell the next day... but i think my pain is arriving a little early... right elbow/left knee both have dark puplely swollen knots... other than that - my back is sore/stiffening up... from tumbling no doubt....

anyhoo... i'm officially done with street tires... i think i will have a burning ceremony of some sort for the ones on it now...

also will be looking to get the stock suspension upgraded... stock brake lines upgraded... and of course (duh) some race rubber... before the first race in feb...

i probably rode for another hour after that... mainly worked on lines and smoothness... and beating down the crash demons...

looking forward very much to returning there with a fully setup bike... :icon_thum

Two kinds of racers; those that are going to go down and those that have been down. Welcome to the club!

p.s.: I posted some pain / healing advice for you over on HSN.

damn... shoulders are stiff as hell... can't raise my arms sideways without pain... so i won't be doing the chicken dance anytime soon... :eh:

crashing sucks!...

dunno what caused it... brian (another racer who wrecked his 750 in the same turn yesterday) said it looked like i tucked the front right as i was going in... but to me it felt like a lost the rear... dunno... i just remember fighting to hold the bike up with my left knee... and then it just flew out from underneath me... then everything looked like i was in a dryer - on super spin cycle... :confused2

no pics carlos... sorry... i was so focused on getting out there b/c i had heard how technical the track was... and it is!... meh... i just wanted to ride you know...

i'll prolly take some pics/vids on the lstd (http://www.lstd.com) track day before the race in feb...

thanks all...

Hope u feel better!

I suggest you remove the NOS bottle from that little twin you're ridin.. that little blast of power you gave it, made the rear spin up and then threw you..
