nice bike, beware of parts. hard to find.
2000 Aprilia RSV Mille
kelly blue book value = $6730
but if you don't know much about bikes, no one would advise you to buy this beast.
take the msf, get a USED 250cc, drive that for a few months at least... then go from there.

I've ridden an aprillia and was not impressed at all. The bike felt very top heavy and hard to turn. Kinda unbalanced. The low end torque is nice but that is about it. Alot of people like these bikes and that's great but it was just not the bike for me. The learning curve to ride it comfortably would be too much for me to want one. But this is just my opinion of the bike and it might suit your riding style alot more than me. If you do get it let us know your impressions of the bike. Good luck with what ever you purchase and be safe.

ive HEARD that maintenace is a pain and labor is very expensive for these bikes.

Actually maintenance is cheaper than say a Ducati, but a bit more than your average Jap bike.
Parts availability is fair but getting better. Run of the mill stuff is pretty available though.
Hard to turn? The bike must not have been set up right or had no air in the front tire. The Mille turns very quickly but is also very stable at the same time.
I'd only recommend it though if you have some experience riding, as it is a liter bike.

I think Patrick said it all.
