i have a 2003 drz 110. same as the klx 110. i have a rear rim for this bike. and am wondering if i buy a spoke kit for the rear wheel if it can be laced on the front hub. so i have matching rim sizes. then i can put the same size tires on front and back. so my question is is this possible. are all excel wheels the same pattern? and all hubs the same just different spoke length? and what street tires will fit on this bike?

oh yea it was prolly too early when i called :keke:
KLX110 and DRZ110 has 32 hole front hub and 36 hole rear hub. A rear rim from a klx/drz will not lace up to the front. I believe a rear rim from a kx60 (not kx65) is 32 hole, and will lace up to the klx/drx front hub. Not sure about the spokes from a kx60 working on the klx/drz.

I'd personally ask Tree on the board. He has a wealth of knowledge.

I believe the rear KX wheel is a 28 spoke and wont fit on a KLX front hub. :)
You should be able to find out from buchanan about which spoke kit works, but I would figure the kx60 rear rim and spoke kit should fit the front KLX hub. Dont quote me on that though.

Done what?
Many have motarded KLX110s
I was going to do the kx60 rear rim on the front of my klx, but I ended up buying wider rims and spoke kits instead.

It is the KX60 rear rim you want, not the KX65. The 60 is 32 hole, 65 is 28 hole. I am not sure if stock KX60 rear spokes will be the right length. It all depends on the height of the flanges on the hub. I would venture a guess and say they would work, but you might have to do a little grinding on the spokes to get the right lenght. I should say though that I have never actually done this, only researched it a little when I had my 110.

buy a wheelset from supermotjunkie or planetminis or re-lace the front hub to a new hoop
