Slip on or bolt on????????

Planning on getting a yoshimura rs3 can for my bike (05 bandit 1200) Should i go with a bolt on or a slip on. Or should i consider a different can all together?

Slip on. To be honest both will net about the same amount of gain, however the slip on looks better on that bike. Actually am doing an '05 right now including carb kit.

Whats the difference between a bolt on and slip on?? i mean performance wise obviously.

bolt on is referring to a full exhaust i presume and a slip on is basically that.

its like someone installing a full performance exhaust system on their car vs a muffler welded on the pipe.

a full system is built to gain more hp vs a slip on.

Bolt on refers to most Suzukis and some Kawis where the cannister bolts on at the end of the mid pipe. You are just replacing the cannister.
Slip on replaces the mid pipe and can.
Full system is just that; a full system.
There's no real performance difference between most bolt ons vs most slip ons.
There is a pretty god dofference between a full system and the above 2.
However typically on most 600 I prefer to use a slip on / bolt on for street use because a full systemwill bias the power gains towards the top end of the rev range, leaving a torque dip in the mid range.

When you get the can make sure and do some jet work. Budget version is some .020 shims under the needles, and 107.5 mains with no hole in the airbox. The Bandits are notoriously lean from the factory.

I have sets of 107.5 and 110 mains I'll donate to a fellow Bandit driver..
