Wasn't trying to be rude, but who do you know has fence pickets laying around, sure, I might have one or two, but is that really going to help? And posts, come on. That's like me asking for 2' of 12/2 wire? So it's just makes more sense just to go to Home Depot. Unless you specifically state, I need 2 pickets, 1 4x4x8 post, and 2llbs of cement.

ps. if you are putting the posts in the ground remember, rule of thumb is if your fence post needs to be 8' above ground you need to dig at least 2 feet down, therefore the post actually needs to be 10' long. and to help anchor it in the cement, drive to huge nails, (almost like railroad ties) at different angles, and sides. That will give the cement more to grab hold of.

ok, some people build lots of fences and sometimes they have a good bit of lumber left over for one reason or another. blah blah blah.

i need initially to make a 20' fence and a 5' gate/door. and this fence is gonna be a shorty---only about 4-5' high. i need (4) 4x4's , 25' of pickets , and probably 40' of friggin 2x4's. so if anyone has been doin some kind of project and ya got some leftovers that you'd sell on the cheap please lemme know.

thanks for the nicer replies. :icon_thum
