Just wanted to let anyone interested know that my company, CyrusOne http://www.cyrusone.com, is currently looking for Customer Service/Monitoring technicians and Hardware/customer delivery technicians.
Applicants will need to have experience working in an IT environment, preferably in Data Centers. They will be working in a call center type environment.
Roles and responsibilities for Customer Service/Monitoring tech are answering phones and creating tickets for all customer issues. The technician is required to be his/her own first tier of troubleshooting for the client (handle all requests that can be completed by them, or spend 30 minutes determining a resolution). They are also responsible for monitoring the OpenView console(monitoring platform) and alerting clients based on predefined escalation procedures.
Roles and responsibilities for Hardware/customer delivery technicians are handling all "hands on" types or requests that clients call in. Could consist of replacing hardware, staging hardware for installation, installation of hardware into server cabinet, build out of customer cage area, cabling (cat5, cat6, fiber, coax) and PMI's of cooling and power infrastructure.
All positions are on an alternating 12 hour shift, making you get every other weekend off. Also have night positions available.
Pay range is based on skill level and prior experience... but i believe starts at around $15 per hour.
