This might have been asked already, not sure...I've got some scratches on my rims from changing the tires. Is powdercoating more durable than the factory paint (2006 GSXR1k)? Will it stand-up to my precision technique of changing the tires myself with metal tire irons and some pledge?

Thanks

Your factory wheels are powdercoated, not painted. In short, yes, powdercoating is much more durable than paint, but it's not bulletproof. You can still eff up your pc doing manual tire changes.

Sound right to you Scoot?

yes sir, powder isnt bulletproof and doing it with metal tire irons is asking for scratches. Gotta care for the finer things in life.
