Project Engineer Job Needed

I just found out that my company will be having another layoff at the end of November, the third in two years. I have a feeling my head is on the chopping block this time. Does anyone know of any leads for project engineer positions? I have BS in Mechanical Engineering and 2.5 years experience. I have already signed up with a recruiter, but wanted to look here as well.
