So the day went by faster than I would imagine.
I have been very busy all day and before I knew it, the day came to an end.
The track itself is very nice. I can see how some like it so much. Being so close to Houston, it would be a sin not to ride it.

We were blessed with great weather right from the start. Took me a bit to get used to the track and to my new bike (wayyyy different from my last one). After some trials, got settled in and started enjoying the track. Did not have much time to go out and ride alone, but that is OK. Maybe next time.

Hope you all had a good time at the track.
Til next time...Cresson, I hope. Take care.

copied from another thread:
first day for me on msrh, i was going soooooooooooooo slow, wow, not used to that track at all, im going to the hill for some personal technical experience.

as for TWS thats my track, i can roll MUCH better out at TWS (1.56's), msr wore me out, after the first session i HATED it, i bet i didn't even break under 2.00 but after lunch i finally got kicked out of level 2 after passing the whole pack, sorry for those i stuffed towards the end, i got a couple complaints dave told me from fast/close passing, i was running a level 4 pace at that point.
so then i went to level 4 and got passed i was wore out, and obviously have not had NEAR enough seat time out there yet, to get compfortable, i know i got another 5-10 easy seconds that can be shaved with a little more time out there
that track is just not my cup of tea yet, im still way better at the highspeed stuff like tws.

overall nice day, and good to meet some of yall.

I had a blast out there. It was my first time riding that track yesterday and 3rd time on the track period, and at first I wasn't sure exactly how I felt about it, but after the second session I was really liking it.

I will definitely be back to that track.

I had a great time yesterday...

Thanks Ridesmart

Had an awesome time, started out in level 2 and one of the instructors who followed me later at 1 or 2pm told me I need to be bumped to level 4. Only managed to do one session in lvl 4 but good lord those guys are faaaaaaaaaaaaast. Felt a lot safer being in 4 however. Might have to look into getting better tires and/or suspension tune, rear tire likes to squiggle left and right coming out of a turn full throttle with the bike nearly straight up.

I had 1 close call where I braked really late going into sugar and spice, started leaning and kept heading towards the gravel, leaned even harder and front and rear tires both slipped. I clenched my ass cheeks and all was well again.

Food was definitely the best part though :D

edit: just upset the lap timer never worked. heard the same thing from others. wonder if there's a way to get a refund if you rented one.

Same thing happened to me, except I managed to make that happen twice. Front and rear slid after leaning harder, but managed to come out of it both times.

Chase was behind me for one of those moments...lol

oh, the fun never stops with u, does it? lol

not if i have any say so in it...

but amandas personal follow up: most def took me a couple sessions to get back into the groove of msrh. i for some reason never remember to look through turns on that track. and that track only ( i think all the pavement color variations distract me even tho, its all pretty gripy). but after lunch, i got a lap timer..went out there and gave all i could give. Accelerated from every apex on, passed a bunch of ppl, in corners and straights, hauled in all straights, braked hard and late, re gased. had to trail brake a little. Gave all i could, only to find the lap timer wasnt working :banghead:. From then on out, i was to tired and needed a second wind that didnt hit till dinner...

weather was nice, glad those dark clouds didnt bring rain! Day was full of riders, but eased up later in the day!

Great event ridesmart!

it is you we want to thank. Thanks for being there, thanks for providing support and everything.
It was great to put a face to many of your user names out there, and the track was definitely worth coming to. I love that big carousel, no, pretty much all the turns. Just wish I had more seat time on my new bike (felt very different from my old bike, it was playing mind games with me, trying to make me think it cannot handle what I dish out, I guess). I am sure next few times I ride it, will be much better.

Thanks again to you all for your support

I had a good time. Thanks RS. Only complaint there were some people in 3 & 4 that should have been Level 2. I would be coming up on turn 6 fast and see somebody crawling through there. :eek3:

But other than that good fun.
