View Full Version : Can i jump start w/ small car and be ok????

i have a ??? for anyone who can answer.... well i must have flooded out my bike and then i ran down the battery (like a dimwit)... my ??? is: Can i jump start with jumper cables and a nissan sentra ar will that **** things up.... should i just go and but a new batter or a charger???? please respond ASAP!!!!! thanks J:banghead:

You run the risk of blowing a fuse but I have jump started some bikes and jumped some one last night.

Dont start the car.... leave it sitting but yes.


the charging systems on cars are higher initially then those on a bike.

if the bike turns over slowly then start the car.

i jumped a bmw 1100RT with a dodge intrepid, a chunk of metal and a screw driver (battery was hard to get at....)

i wouldnt recommend it, but somethings had to be done

Some bikes use a 9v electrical system. Using a car's 12v system on these bikes may have some negative, undesired effects.

i suggest buying a $20 battery tender and plug it in once a week...esp with winter coming up

push it. . second gear, clutch it out, when you drop the clutch push your weight down on the seat at the same time. VROOOOOOOOM lol

apparently you've never owned a large displacement twin.
