Just thinking about getting this to play with at Katy if I can fit on it.
Thoughts?

Randy, those Chinese bikes can be fun, but break quite a bit and need constant attention.
Personally, I'd jack over the cash for a used race bike that's in good condition before messing with one of those.

Kinda thought that Tom, the best and worst thing about them is that they are cheap.
Now Hotnanas old KX60 looks interesting. Hmmmm. Thanks for the tip Comfy.
Guess I better get My SV fixed first (broke the rear shock) then see what I wanna spend on something for Katy. Sooner or later I’ll have something out there.

Yeah, Tom's right, they are pieces of chit and dangerous to boot. :sword:

Stick to the CRF/KLX 100/110 for F7 and the KX/RM 65 for F5. KX60s are getting really scarce. Kinda like following the YSRs.

once someone told me here that those dont really keep up with the rest...i dont know
I had one for my 10 year old son. 10 laps at Katy and I put so much side force on it in turn one the frame bent to the point the chain would not line up. We took off the motor, wheels, and forks and threw the rest away. Total POS. Mine was the 70cc version. A few of the newer ones appear to have bracing to cure what killed mine, but I would only trust a Chinese motard at Katy, not a pocket bike. Andy at Metric had fairly good success racing a Roketa style 110 autoclutch 3 years ago. it held up pretty well.
I think the brand he had was Terminator. We raced a little Lifan 100 dirt bike and it was fun for my son, but way underpowered and underdampned for me.
How about a kx85 motard to play around on at Katy? I know somebody who has one for sale! :toothy9:

I can make you a deal for $500. But you will probably not be able to ride it anywhere without the engine or wheels!
