Registration will be in the building attached to the first garage. After you register you will need to take your bike to tech which is in the same garage but at the other end. There will be signs and ask anyone with a yellow RideSmart shirt on and they will direct you.

Don't worry, all the instructors are approachable. You'll be in Level 1 (your first time right?).
There will also be many MotoHouston members present there at the track day (i'm sure they will post up once they see this thread). There are some instructors on this board aswell that will be there, Jason, Slavick & Dirk Andersen aswell. But like I said all the instructors are approachable. Anyone with a bright green shirt with their name on the back in an instructor.
The way Level 1 is laid out, you'll end up making friends - you'll be placed in a group in your level. The group will be made up for 5-7 students and will have 1-2 instructors, working with the same instructor and same students will leave you learning alot! From body positions, to proper lines to heck even first time on track rules and regulations.
You'll have a blast - don't worry! Just make sure to take it easy your first couple morning sessions as you'll have a full plate :)

I will very likely be there myself, so look for me (I look just like the picture in avatar!). You'll have a great time. Make sure to get an instructor to follow you and work with you--a lot of people are too shy to ask, but they can really help you out.

one more question: regarding gear, I have everything.... actually driving up Friday night from Katy and staying in Navasota so I can be there first thing Saturday morning..... should I have gear (boots, leathers, etc.) on and ready to go or just wear shorts and stuff and change once things get started ?

If it were me, I would just change when I got there--there's definitely some time in the morning when you'll just be registering and waiting for things to get started.

Just have your stuff ready to go for round robin. Level 3-4 and Level 2 will be before Level 1 so you will have time to change.

Forecast high for College Station on the 27th is 86F, sunny and 10% chance of the unspeakable.
That is going to be SO much nicer than the 100F chit we’ve been riding in this summer….I can’t wait!

if you are towing your bike then heck no, drive up in your tshirt (noting less that that though...lol).
If you are riding to the track on your bike, then you will have to have your gear on you for the ride.
So it depends on how you are getting there. Whatever you do, tech people will be checking out your gear after you register.
