Like those twinkle-toed fairys above me said, especially with a 929 being your first bike, take the MSF course. If you pass it, you just have to go to the DPS station and take the written portion of the test. Pass that as well, and you have your 'M' Their is a page or PDF file on the DPS site that goes over what you'll need to know for the writen part.

Sweet!, then take your cert. to the dps office, take the lil computer test(easy as pie) and they hand you a lic.

Then bring your cert. paper with you and just go up to a station and take the written part. They're just about all common sense answers, but it helps to rear over their book online first. Depending on how far you live from DPS, the drive up there could take longer than you're in the building.

then take the little peice of paper (mine was blue) to the DPS, wait in line, and pass dat chit on the computer...it's like 10 bucks and really easy...they didn't tell you this in April?:banghead:

I was at the DPS office today, Last week I had to change my title over from FL and get register $166.80 Plus Inspection at Mr. Sticker $14.50 which the wrote down the wrong Vin number causing me a bigger headache. The first DPS office i went to didn't want to take my MSF Card from the Navy Base (Key West, FL). So I tried again at a different location and they took it I passed the test missed on question paid $15.00 Now I'm legal lol it took me two days and like 8 forms.

The MSF is alot easier and might get a discount on your insurance.

I'm going to try the one off of Will Clayton. Is there one closer? I live off of 1960 and Ella.

I'm taking my nephew this week to get his mc license. Will he need to show proof of ins or any other paperwork? I am making him take the MSF as soon as possible too.

no reason to have him take the dmv test AND msf since the road test for msf makes the DMV test moot

Not hard at all you just have to look around for which place you want to take it at, i was SUPPOSED to be taking mine tmrw n sunday but mr. ike fkd it up all up!

Its pretty cool tho i heard you learn alot from it and it takes the place of taking the driving part at the dps :D
