RS 09.01.08 Car Pool Thread

As you all know, gas prices are no longer $1.00/gal.
With that, we hope this thread will make it easier on the wallet if we all start pooling our resources. This way we all will gain.

So please sound off if:

- you have space on your trailer and do not mind taking up another rider
- you have space in your car and do not mind taking up a corner worker
- you need space for your bike to get up to TWS
- you are a corner worker and are trying to find space to get up to TWS
- anyone else that has a need to get up to TWS for any reason.

State your need and exactly what you have and what you are looking for.
Also, state where you live so that others know, and so that they can figure out the logistics of getting together.

We hope others will sound off on this thread to accommodate.

It is expected that a person getting helped will at least split the gas costs with the people providing the hardware to help them get up to TWS.
A little extra beverage for the bs sessions before the track would not hurt either.

But if someone has room on their trailer for one more bike, I don't mind riding out to meet anyone if it isn't too far. And more than willing to split the cost of gas and whatever else.

I'm corner working, he's riding, but we're taking my truck

I have space for one more bike and two more bodies, I've got ramps and some straps.

no solid plans yet but we should be pulling out of katy pretty early say 6:00am

I do. Do you need it to load and unload? I always have it with me at the track.

Just a quick idea, if you have no ramp, you can buy a 1x6 piece of wood and cut it into a 5' or 6' length to make a pretty nice ramp. Cheap too, great for those times when you get stuck without one.
Heck, I used a 2x4 several times to load up at home (someone else had the ramp) and then borrowed one from a track rider at the event.

I am coming out of SW Austin.
I already have another rider that will be coming with his bike. So no spots for riders with bikes.
However, especially if you live in SW or S area of Austin, I would be glad to scoop you up for a 3 way split on gas.
Planning to leave on Sunday pm.

Hey Everyone. I am corner working this time and will be leaving the Woodlands/Spring Area probably around 5am or so... They said that I had to be up there at 6:30am. My sister will be riding up there with me but I will have an extra 2 open spots in my car, (a third if you feel like squezzing in the middle). Let me know if any one wants to ride with us.

Anyone going up to TWS from the Clear Lake area or southeast side?

I have a friend who needs to have his bike taken up there either the night before (if you're camping out/staying at hotel) or the morning of the trackday.

So if you have extra room on your trailer, pm me...
