my 2 best friends are playing in it....you talking about the buzz washerfest, right?
I'd be playing, but gotta go out of town....different style of washers than I'm use to playing though....22 ft board separation with one hole as opposed to the three hole boards I made.

we play on a three hole board about 15 feet apart. Each hole is about 4-5in in diameter. Great way to burn an evening and get drunk

I am playing in it saturday, my friend and I were thinking of starting a a tournament somehow. I will be practicing at my house tomorrow night for the tournament. I was kinda wondering how many people would be interested in playing in a small tournament. We could just get like 10 teams together and have one. We could do it once a month and have like a trophy or something to win plus some cash. If we get people showing some interest in doing it I will try to put one together. :hello:

great idea. I say $30 buck a team. Winning team takes 75% and second team takes 25%. Oh yeah a couple cheap consolotion prizes too. :thumb:

That is kinda what I was thinking. I was gonna suggest $20 a team and yeah we could do a 1st and 2nd place prize. I have a few friends in the Bar business that might let us host it there. I guess I could have the 1st annual Moto Washer tournament at my house. I have a bar built in my garage and junk. The beer would be a lot cheaper. Lets get some opinions on it. Maybe I can put it together sooner than later. :happy3:

I would probably be able to get 4 or more guys to play, but Deer Park is hella far....maybe a more central location?

I heard they had to double the number of participants for the Buzzfest washer tourney....expecting 64 teams, but had 120+ people there to sign up last night. CRAZINESS!!!!!!

Well I will try to come up with a more central location. It would be cool if we could get a few locations and rotate. Yeah they had to make a whole extra bracket last night to fit all the people. :thumb:

I'm down for a small tournament if it stays in the South-Southeast area.

I built a set like we are going to use in the tournament this weekend. They set them up 22' apart they have one hole. I had never used any like them but I think it's pretty good. You can check them out on thebuzz.com

I have a friend that is going to let us host the washer tournament at his bar. It is going to be on August 23rd. The bar is Buddy Ruff's in Kemah by the Boardwalk. I know a lot of people will complain about it being too far. I understand and plan on finding other locations to play. Maybe like Papa's IceHouse in Spring. Let me know if you are interested. :hello:

Red, what are you thinking? Like $25 entry? How many teams max? I'll probably be in.

Well I was thinking $20 a team, no limit on teams it will be double elimination it may take a little thinking to get a bracket going for an odd number of teams but Im sure we can figure something out. Right now I don't have a clue how many teams we will have. I'm trying to figure out how many people are interested.

Well if we have the first one and it is a hit I will try to get somewhere like Papa's Icehouse in Spring to let us do one there.
