Just got a new bike and in need of insurance quick

I just bought an 08 Ninja 250, and I'd like a good insurance policy. However, my dealer told me the cheapest around my Katy area was nearly $2000 / year for a full coverage, $700 for theft and liability, and $300 for just liability. There's got to be lower than that..

I'm 19, first bike, and I've had two speeding tickets in 2005, plus a ticket for no seat belt a few months ago. Anyone can tell me what I'm looking at? Thanks a bunch!

i have liability only with progressive and i pay 52/ month im 17. but im gonna get full coverage soon with theft and all. progressive charges me about 454/month for that. i need something cheaper tho.
