I finally went to take that class for motorcycle lessons that i had been waiting for a week wit my cousin! I passed the writing part, like everyone else, but I had lot of trouble keeping control of it during the riding part! I got special help on the side during the breaks, then i found out the problem was that i was letting the clutch go too slowly and i couldn't control the bike after i would take off! lol, i thought 250cc was nothing cause my older cousins got a 750 and ride it like its a breeze! I paid $170somethin for the class and gettin no refund, and i can't even go tomorrow to kinda get SOME help! So ive decided to forget about the whole idea of ridin! Does anybody have advice for me? lol! :BangHead:

well, that sucks......maybe buy a $1000 bike and practice w/ that. also if you have a bicycle ride that, the mechanics of turning a motorcycle are the same.

make sure your wearing full gear, and when you get comfy w/ that take the class again. yup it is more $, but it sounds like you need the lessons......

good luck, sorry you got in w/ the other class instead of mine.

first time to drive a standard?

talked w/ your inst. , he recommended you get ALOT more practice on a bicycle........then retake the class. he thinks you'd be fine w/ bicycle/balance practice..........

Wow, I think this is the first time Racer X sounded nice and encouraging, lol.

But like most said, don't give up, just keep trying if it's what you really want.

Get a small dirt bike and learn to ride. :icon_thum

from my understanding balance was a major problem, so go get practiced ALOT on a bicycle, then get a small dirt bike........

If you like riding you should get something really small and practice everyday. Wear all your gear and be ready to eat shit some. I think your already lightyears ahead of some just in your thought process of taking the class, and coming on here for advice.

If RacerX says go work some balance on a bicycle its prolly a good idea. A little 150cc dirtbike would be more fun IMHO. And everyone knows you just look like a badass crashing a dirtbike, thats what the X-Games is right.

If you really wanna learn, dont quit. If you have any doubts, or if the thought of crashing scares you to your core. . . Dont ride. Crashing and close calls is part of this sport. Thankfully, so is learning.
